But one of the deepest reasons that has pushed me into the arms of martial arts …
I arrived here because of failed friendships.
I arrived here because I know all too well the lonliness that breaks a man’s heart
I arrived here because dark emotions, emotions too strong to be expressed in normal life, run in my blood.
I arrived here because I don’t want to end up like good old Friedrich Nietzsche - a tender-hearted nut case who stared into the abyss too long and held in his hands a fire too powerful for his mind to take.

Not surprising. Tuition - private debt. Healthcare - private debt (at least until Obama-care fully kicks in in 2014).
Since the US isn’t really a “welfare state”, private citizens have to go into debt to send their kids to college. Private citizens have to pay for hospital bills out of pocket (even if they are lucky enough to have deductions at their jobs). That is why the federal debt levels are so small, yet the private debt figures are so high. Essentially, the US economy depends on massive amounts of private debt.
